Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality med/surg and rehab nursing care to inpatients
• Assess patient needs and implement individualized care plans that support recovery
• Collaborate with therapists and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Perform safe patient handling using lifts and gait belts and follow unit safety protocols
• Document patient status and interventions accurately in Meditech
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and safety measures

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state license or compact where applicable)
• Minimum 2 years med/surg nursing experience required
• Rehab experience is a plus and will help you hit the floor running
• BLS certification required
• Strong documentation skills, experience with Meditech preferred
• Comfort with patient lifts, alarms, and standard rehab equipment

Knowledge & Skills

• Med/Surg nursing best practices and patient assessment
• Inpatient rehab care and interdisciplinary coordination
• Proficient documentation in Meditech or similar EMR systems
• Safe patient handling and use of lifts, gait belts, and alarms
• Time management and prioritization on a 12-hour shift
