Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Provide skilled nursing care including medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered plans
• Stabilize critically ill or injured patients and escalate care when necessary
• Document care clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (LA licensure required)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior ED/ER experience preferred; strong candidates with acute care background encouraged to apply
• Demonstrated ability to perform in high-acuity, fast-paced clinical environments
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• Proficiency with IV starts, medication administration, and basic critical care procedures
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
• Ability to interpret basic cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately
• Strong clinical judgment, rapid decision-making, and prioritization
• Compassionate patient care and clear communication with families and team members
