Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting daily living activities
Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility needs safely and respectfully
Take and document vital signs and observe changes in resident condition
Communicate clearly with nursing staff and families about resident needs and concerns
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (valid in Connecticut or as required by facility)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable assisting with ADLs and safe patient handling
Clear background check and required health/immunization records
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Vital signs, documentation, and reporting changes in condition
Infection control, safety, and resident rights
Teamwork and effective communication with nursing and interdisciplinary staff
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
