Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
• Assess patients, monitor vital signs, and document clinical changes accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with policy
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns when needed
• Support patient and family education, discharge planning and continuity of care
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Per-diem or hospital/clinical experience preferred — night shift experience a plus
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment and clinical documentation
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
• Ability to triage and prioritize care during overnight hours
• Infection control practices and patient safety focus
• Calm decision-making in urgent or evolving situations
