Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor and document telemetry patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs with accuracy and compassion
• Interpret telemetry strips and escalate changes in cardiac status promptly
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and according to orders
• Collaborate with physicians, care team members and families to deliver coordinated care
• Respond quickly to patient changes and participate in emergency interventions as needed
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and safe transitions

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of California
• Telemetry experience (prior telemetry/monitoring shifts preferred)
• BLS required; ACLS preferred or available per facility policy
• Current immunizations and ability to pass facility onboarding checks
• Strong clinical assessment skills and comfort with cardiac monitoring equipment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition
• Competence with EHR charting and clinical documentation
• IV therapy and medication administration skills
• Critical thinking and rapid decision-making under pressure
• Effective teamwork, patient advocacy and clear bedside communication
