Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care during overnight hours
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, mobility)
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
- Perform bedside care tasks like vital signs, toileting assistance, and comfort measures
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
- Communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary team to support safe handoffs
- Contribute to a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred)
- Ability to work overnight 12-hour shifts and accept per-diem assignments
- Comfortable assisting with patient transfers and providing hands-on care
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care and infection control principles
- Skilled in taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Able to assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling
- Familiarity with bedside documentation and shift reporting
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills
