Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients including assistance with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
- Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
- Support nurses and other clinicians with timely, accurate charting and communication
- Build rapport with patients and families to deliver respectful, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable performing transfers, ADL assistance, and basic clinical tasks
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate clearly with the care team
- Reliable, professional demeanor with a focus on patient dignity and safety
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited CNA program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong observational skills for monitoring patient status and reporting changes
- Knowledge of basic infection control and safety procedures
- Ability to assist with and document activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well on a multidisciplinary team
- Basic charting/EMR familiarity is a plus
