Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to pediatric med/surg patients
• Assess patient condition and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
• Document patient care clearly and timely in the medical record
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be authorized to practice in Missouri
• Clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing and pediatrics preferred
• BLS required; PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen and facility credentialing
• Professional, compassionate demeanor with a patient- and family-centered focus

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of pediatric med/surg nursing principles and best practices
• Proficient in medication administration, IV therapy and wound care
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making abilities
• Effective teamwork and clear communication with families and clinical staff
