Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain infection surveillance activities across the facility
• Develop, update and implement evidence-based infection prevention policies
• Conduct audits, risk assessments and environmental rounds to identify opportunities
• Investigate and respond to suspected outbreaks in a timely manner
• Educate and coach clinical and non-clinical staff on best practices
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient and staff safety
• Prepare clear reports and present findings to leadership to drive improvements

Qualifications

• Experience in Infection Prevention or related infection control work
• Knowledge of infection prevention standards, protocols and surveillance methods
• Excellent communication and teaching skills for staff education
• Comfortable conducting audits, data collection and reporting
• CIC (Certification in Infection Control) or similar credential preferred
• Clinical background (RN, MPH, or comparable) is a plus but not strictly required

• Audit processes and corrective action planning
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
• Familiarity with infection prevention guidelines and regulatory expectations
