Roles & Responsibilities

• Answer call lights promptly and provide compassionate, resident-centered care
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (toileting, bathing, grooming, dressing) with dignity and respect
• Safely transfer and reposition residents to promote comfort and prevent injury
• Obtain vital signs, weights and other routine measurements accurately and document them
• Observe and report any changes in resident condition to the nurse in a timely manner
• Meet resident needs efficiently while maintaining safety and a calm environment
• Report any allegations of abuse, neglect or misappropriation to the charge nurse immediately
• Perform other resident-focused duties as requested to support a high-quality living environment

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required — state registry in good standing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• 1+ years of related CNA experience preferred
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in clinical tasks and documentation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to report changes in condition clearly
• Capacity to perform safe resident transfers and ADL assistance

Education

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident care routines
• Ability to obtain and accurately record vital signs and weights
• Knowledge of patient safety practices and infection control basics
• Skill in safe transfer techniques and mobility assistance
• Good observational skills to notice and report changes in condition
• Comfortable working in a skilled nursing facility environment and collaborating with nursing staff
