Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans and facility policies
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document them in the medical record
• Monitor and record vital signs, observe changes in condition, and promptly report concerns to the team
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care
• Support patient comfort and dignity through attentive personal care and clear communication
• Participate in shift handoffs and maintain accurate, timely documentation

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — New Mexico licensure required
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfort with medication administration, basic assessments, and documentation
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program and high school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Basic wound care and infection control principles
• Ability to take and interpret vital signs and recognize clinical changes
• Familiarity with electronic health records or willingness to learn
• Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
