Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert hematology and oncology care in an ambulatory setting, leveraging the co-located infusion center for treatment delivery
• Manage a clinic panel (approximately 16–18 patient visits per day) with efficiency and compassion
• Collaborate closely with nurse navigators, social workers, pharmacy liaisons, research coordinators and genetic counselors to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, weekly tumor boards and rapid diagnosis clinic activities to support comprehensive care plans
• Support and engage with clinical trials, survivorship programs and tele-genetics to expand patient options
• Document thoroughly and accurately in Cerner to maintain continuity and quality of care

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted California license (required)
• Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) or equivalent credential for practice as a PA in oncology/hematology settings
• Experience in hematology/oncology and ambulatory infusion center care preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner or similar EMR systems
• Comfort working within a multidisciplinary team and participating in clinical trials and survivorship programs
• Willingness to follow CSH travel policy for any assignment logistics (note: flights are not approved for this assignment)

Education

• Graduate degree and certification/licensure appropriate for a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner level practice

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical knowledge in hematology and oncology
• Hands-on experience with infusion center workflows and ambulatory care processes
• Familiarity with clinical trials processes and research coordination
• Ability to collaborate with genetic counselors and provide tele-genetics support
• Excellent patient communication and navigation skills
• Efficient Cerner documentation and charting abilities
