Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care at the bedside
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders
- Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
- Document care accurately and efficiently in the patient record
- Collaborate with nurses, CNAs, therapists, and other team members to coordinate care
- Support patient and family education to promote recovery and well-being
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed to keep the unit flowing
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential required
- Active licensure in New Mexico or ability to obtain licensure prior to start
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or obtainable upon hire
- Comfortable with per diem scheduling and flexible assignment locations
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent vocational training
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Solid knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
- Ability to perform accurate patient assessments and document findings
- Experience using electronic medical records and basic clinical technology
- Good time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
