Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to older adults, promoting dignity and quality of life
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Support mealtime assistance and monitor dietary needs, adapting to individual preferences
- Observe, report, and document changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Follow infection control procedures and facility policies to keep residents safe
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication
Qualifications
- Active GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification or equivalent required
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience working with geriatric or long-term care populations is a plus
- Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Completion of an approved GNA training program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and ADL support
- Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Infection prevention and universal precautions
- Reliable documentation and reporting of resident status
- Teamwork and effective communication with residents, families, and staff
