Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver clinical education programs that improve staff skills and patient outcomes
- Coach and mentor nursing staff in PCC best practices and bedside care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to align education with clinical goals
- Assess learning needs, create competency checklists, and track staff progress
- Step into bedside nursing when the unit needs extra hands to ensure safe patient care
- Document education activities, outcomes, and competency validations accurately
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and evidence-based practice
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (state requirements apply)
- Experience as a Nurse Practice Educator or strong background in clinical education
- Proficiency with Patient Care Coordination (PCC) workflows and documentation
- Comfort and experience with floor nursing duties — ready to step in when needed
- Strong communication and coaching skills to mentor diverse clinical staff
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly, and work collaboratively
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

- Clinical education program development and teaching techniques
- Patient Care Coordination (PCC) knowledge and electronic documentation
- Direct nursing care and bedside assessment skills
- Competency validation, staff coaching, and performance improvement
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and change management
