Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients with dignity
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Monitor patient status, report changes to the care team, and escalate concerns promptly
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to support individualized care plans
- Perform essential assessments, charting, and routine procedures according to facility protocols
- Support patients and families with clear communication and respectful interaction
Qualifications
- Current, active LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in New Mexico (or compact/eligible where applicable)
- Graduation from an accredited practical/vocational nursing program
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain promptly)
- Previous LPN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
- Clear background check and ability to meet facility health requirements (immunizations, TB screening, etc.)
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN / Vocational Nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with patients, families, and staff
- Basic wound care, vital signs monitoring, and ADL assistance competence
