Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Perform routine vital signs, documentation, and reporting changes in patient condition
- Assist nursing staff with safe patient transfers and mobility support
- Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and follow infection control protocols
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team to support continuity of care
- Support resident dignity and independence through respectful, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification; T-CNA endorsement where required
- Minimum hands-on experience as a CNA preferred (specific years not listed)
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
- Reliable, team-oriented, and adaptable to travel assignments
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient lifting/transfers and safe body mechanics
- Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of infection control practices and resident safety
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
