Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility with dignity
• Monitor and record basic vital signs and resident observations accurately
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and report changes to nursing staff
• Help maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for each resident
• Support social and recreational activities to promote resident engagement
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) or equivalent as required by state
• Comfortable assisting with transfers and mobility; able to follow safe lift protocols
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with strong communication skills
• Ability to pass standard background and health screenings required by the facility
• Reliable transportation to the Bowie facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental knowledge of geriatric care and dignity-focused caregiving
• Competence with ADLs, basic hygiene care and mobility assistance
• Basic observation and documentation skills for resident status and changes
• Infection control basics and safe care practices
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
