Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, safe, and evidence-based nursing care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond to dysrhythmias and alarms with appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient plans
• Deliver timely assessments, medication administration, and documentation in Meditech Expanse when applicable
• Float between Med-Surg units as needed while maintaining quality and continuity of care
• Support patient throughput by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transitions of care
• Maintain required certifications and ensure they are uploaded with your profile prior to assignment

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN license in hand at profile upload
• Minimum 2 years of current Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required at profile upload
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required and must be uploaded
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Willingness to float across Med-Surg units
• Own vehicle required for this assignment
• Provide at least one supervisory signed reference from within the past two years

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring skills and familiarity with dysrhythmia recognition
• Med-Surg assessment and intervention expertise; comfortable with 1:6 patient ratios typically
• Proficiency or experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for fast-paced unit collaboration
• Solid documentation practices and ability to maintain current skills and certifications
• Adaptability to float between units and manage varying patient acuity
