Shift Type: 3x12-hour options (3 shifts per week): Day — 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM (Day) and Night — 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM (Night); rotating between day and night options, self-scheduled with variable weekend coverage
Hours per Week: 60
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, expert nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing BMT and oncology treatments
- Administer chemotherapy and other infusions safely, following ONS protocols and body fluid handling procedures
- Manage central lines, ports and PICC lines, including central line blood draws and access
- Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias and activate Rapid Response Teams when needed
- Administer and monitor blood products and respond to transfusion reactions
- Support infection prevention protocols and patient safety initiatives to reduce falls and infections
- Document accurately and timely in Epic to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, PT/RT, social work and rapid response to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about treatments, post-chemotherapy care and post-transplant precautions
- Participate in specialty procedures and CAR-T / stem cell therapy workflows as needed
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year of recent hematology/oncology or MS/Telemetry experience within the last 3 years
- ONS Chemotherapy Certification required and Oncology certification highly preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Demonstrated experience with infusion/IV therapy, blood product administration and central line/port care
- Proficiency with Epic charting required
- Comfort working in a self-scheduled environment and floating to other MedSurg Oncology units
- Willingness to learn, grow and follow strict infection prevention protocols
Education
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Chemotherapy administration and safe handling of body fluids post-chemotherapy
- Bone marrow transplant workflows including autologous, allogeneic and syngeneic care
- CAR-T therapy awareness and stem cell therapy concepts
- Central line, port and PICC line management and access
- IV therapy, infusion pump (Alaris) use and blood product administration
- Infection prevention, isolation precautions and PPE use
- Use of GE B450 telemetry monitors and basic unit equipment
- Strong patient education, critical thinking and interdisciplinary communication skills
- Accurate Epic documentation and electronic charting best practices
