Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist in electrophysiology procedures including cardiac ablation, mapping, and arrhythmia induction
- Support device procedures such as pacemaker insertion and insertion/programming of AICDs
- Assist with Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) closure, cardioversion and conduction studies with precision and safety
- Perform tilt table studies and baseline measurements to guide clinical decision-making
- Use Epic for accurate, timely charting and documentation of patient care
- Serve as charge resource when required, coordinating the team and ensuring smooth unit flow
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary support services (IV teams, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, etc.) to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain strict scrub technique and adhere to procedural hard stops — safety first
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant EP/EP lab experience (explicit requirement)
- Previous charge experience — required
- Community hospital experience — required
- Experience with 1:1 patient ratios in procedural/EP settings
- Charting experience with Epic — required
- ACLS and BLS certifications preferred
- Willingness to participate in facility call as indicated by the unit
- Completion of 32-hour orientation as provided by the facility
Knowledge & Skills
- Electrophysiology procedures: ablation, mapping, arrhythmia induction
- Device experience: pacemaker insertion, AICD insertion & programming
- Special procedures: LAA closure, cardioversion, conduction studies, tilt table testing
- Strong scrub skills and OR/EP lab technique (hard stop: scrub experience required)
- Epic electronic charting proficiency
- Charge nurse skills: coordination, delegation, and unit oversight
- Comfort caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
