Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 3x12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM NOC. Variable nights across weekdays and some weekends (must be available for holidays). Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric MedSurgical/Telemetry patients
- Assess, monitor and respond to changes in patient condition including telemetry and cardiac rhythms
- Start and manage IVs, administer therapies, and coordinate blood product and central line care
- Float confidently between units of similar or lower acuity while maintaining consistent standards of care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, rapid response) to optimize patient outcomes
- Participate in emergency response and rapid response/code team activities as needed
- Document accurately and timely in EPIC to ensure continuity of care and clear communication
- Teach and support patients and families with discharge planning and education
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (Ohio license or compact licensure preferred/required depending on facility policy)
- Minimum 2 years of MedSurgical nursing experience
- Current BCLS (required)
- Travel nursing experience (required)
- Proficiency in IV start, IV therapy, and telemetry monitoring
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record
- Ability to safely manage patient ratios of about 1:4-5
- ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications preferred
- Comfort participating on Rapid Response/Code teams and managing dysrhythmias
Education
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- IV therapy, PICC/central line care, phlebotomy and blood product administration
- Cardiac monitoring and management of cardiac/vasoactive drips (no titration)
- Tracheostomy care, non-invasive airway support (BiPAP/CPAP), and HFNC management
- Chest tube management and ABG interpretation
- Familiarity with EPIC charting and strong documentation practices
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills for fast-paced float assignments
- Experience in trauma or teaching hospital settings is a plus
