Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shifts to promote comfort and safety
• Administer medications, treatments, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in patient condition to the team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to support discharge planning and continuity of care
• Maintain a safe, clean environment while following facility policies and infection control standards
• Support patients and families with education, empathy, and clear communication

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in good standing (New Mexico license preferred or compact state authorization where applicable)
• Relevant clinical experience as an LPN or RN — travel experience a plus
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Ability to pass facility onboarding and background checks
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care

Education

• LPN: Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing; RN: Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing (or equivalent)
• Completion of state licensure requirements for LPN or RN

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Medication administration and accurate documentation
• Comfort managing common night-shift responsibilities and awake-to-sleep transitions
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Reliable time management and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
