Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
- Monitor vital signs and document changes in patient condition promptly
- Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
- Maintain clear, timely charting in the clinical record system
- Assist with activities of daily living and promote patient comfort and dignity
- Participate in care planning and communicate family updates as appropriate
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in New Mexico (required)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited provider
- Valid immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
- Comfortable working in a facility setting and providing hands-on patient care
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on a team
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- High school diploma or GED
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic patient assessment and monitoring of vital signs
- Wound care, ADL assistance, and infection control principles
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical charting
- Excellent communication, time management, and patient advocacy skills
