Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform radiation oncology procedures as prescribed by the radiation oncologist with care and precision
• Accurately record and document patient treatments in a complete and timely manner
• Provide compassionate clinical patient care and clear communication with patients and families
• Operate ancillary equipment and assist with film processing and darkroom tasks when needed
• Answer phones professionally and direct calls to the appropriate team members
• Assist with safe patient transportation to and from the department
• Restock supplies and notify the appropriate team member when orders are required
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment to support patient safety and team efficiency

Qualifications

• Current ARRT (Radiation Therapist) certification or equivalent licensure required
• State licensure for Nebraska or ability to obtain Nebraska licensure promptly
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Experience with radiation oncology procedures and patient treatment documentation
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Education

• Associate degree in Radiation Therapy or completion of an accredited radiation therapy program
• Completion of an accredited clinical training program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of radiation oncology treatment workflows and safety protocols
• Comfortable with treatment recording and clinical documentation best practices
• Skilled at patient communication, education, and providing calming bedside care
• Familiarity with film processing and basic darkroom/ancillary duties
• Organizational skills for supply management and maintaining a safe work environment
