Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 10-hour day shifts, varied start times (6 AM or 10 AM), with overnight call once a week and weekend call 3 days per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain sterile field in the cardiovascular operating room
Assist surgeons during complex cardiac procedures including CABG and valve surgeries
Monitor patient vitals and interpret EKG strips
Operate and manage surgical equipment and supplies
Collaborate with charge nurse and surgical team in a fast-paced environment
Float to other Sacramento facilities as needed (rare)

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR surgical technologist experience
BLS certification required
NIHSS certification required
Experience with Cerner EMR
First-time travelers welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures
Proficient in sterile technique and infection control
Ability to read and interpret EKG strips
Comfortable with ventilator support and telemetry
Adaptable and confident in a high-volume, fast-paced OR
