Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, includes weekend rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor telemetry and interpret EKG rhythms for neuro patients
Titrate drips including Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, and insulin
Provide care for patients with CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, encephalopathy, and other neuro conditions
Perform bedside report and collaborate with multidisciplinary team
Maintain sterile field during central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertions
Float to other telemetry units and ICU overflow as needed

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted RN license
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry or neuro nursing experience
Level 1 trauma experience required
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam prior to start
Neuro experience highly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Competent in titration of cardiac drips
Proficient with Cerner EMR
Knowledge of sterile technique for central line and foley care
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-turnover environment
