Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on a cardiopulmonary telemetry and neuro unit
Monitor and interpret EKGs, identifying and responding to cardiac rhythms
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including hospitalists and intensivists
Manage a patient assignment of 3-4 patients with support from PCTs
Participate in a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one to ensure readiness
Administer medications, perform assessments, and document patient progress

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in telemetry or neuro (within the past 6 months)
Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Proficiency in EKG interpretation
Must pass Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam (max 2 attempts) prior to acceptance

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
Experience with neuro patients including CVAs and pulmonary conditions
Ability to work in a fast-paced, 26-bed unit
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Familiarity with high-flow oxygen devices and ventilator management
