Location: Omaha, Nebraska

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and care for patients in the Progressive Care Unit, including cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and neurology cases
Titrate drips such as Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurse and patient care techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and critical thinking in a fast-paced environment
Maintain a positive attitude and strong communication skills to support the team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience preferred
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Positive attitude and teamwork mindset
Proficiency in titrating cardiac and seizure medications
Knowledge of adult and geriatric patient care
Excellent communication and adaptability
