Location: Bakersfield, California

End Date: 09-13-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 8-hour day shifts, no block scheduling; rotating weekday call after 4:30 PM and rotating weekend/holiday call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying imaging procedures
Operate GE scanners and Radnet & Merge Unity EMR/PACS systems
Start IVs if required (not typically for this role)
Collaborate with radiologists and lead tech to ensure high-quality patient care
Float to Mercy Downtown location (approx 6.5 miles away) as needed
Maintain accurate records and adhere to safety protocols

Qualifications

At least 2 years of nuclear medicine experience
Current BLS certification
Valid California NMTL license
Ability to work rotating call and weekends
Comfortable with cardiac and SPECT imaging

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in nuclear medicine imaging techniques
Experience with GE equipment and Radnet/Merge Unity
Strong patient care and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to handle varying scan volumes (5-10 studies per day)
