Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to oncology and telemetry patients on a 32-bed acute unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using Philips telemetry systems
• Administer chemotherapy and manage oncology-specific treatments under the guidance of the healthcare team
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, PCTs, and SWAT IV team
• Perform and document patient assessments, administer medications, and develop care plans
• Float to other MedSurg/Tele units as needed to support patient care
• Participate in SIMs lab competency checks for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
• Chemo certification strongly preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent oncology or telemetry nursing experience
• Ability to pass the DYS exam prior to starting
• Willingness to comply with facility requirements including natural hair color, no facial piercings, and clean-shaven for fit test
• Must have reliable transportation for travel assignments

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of oncology nursing and chemotherapy administration
• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to maintain sterile field during procedures
• Adaptable and quick to learn in fast-paced environments
