Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population in a mixed PCU, Oncology, and Med-Surg unit
Manage complex patient conditions including oncology diagnoses, trauma, and medical-surgical needs
Administer chemotherapy (preferred) and monitor titratable drips like insulin and Cardizem
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to med-surg and PCU units as needed, maintaining the same level of care
Participate in hourly rounding to enhance patient experience and safety

Qualifications

Active RN license (compact license accepted)
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU, Oncology, or Med-Surg experience
First-time travelers welcome
ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
Chemo certification preferred but not required
EPIC experience a plus (not required but noted for orientation)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC electronic medical records
Comfortable with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000) - training available
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to provide culturally competent care
Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced environment
