Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), with every 3rd weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Monitor and assess vital signs, administer medications, and manage ventilators
Assist with procedures such as Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Collaborate with neonatologists, midlevels, and multidisciplinary team
Educate and support families on newborn care and discharge planning
Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Level 4 NICU experience required
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Active RN license in Arizona or compact license
BLS and NRP certifications required
Cardiac STABLE certification preferred
Ability to pass SIMs lab for Foley and central line dressing changes with sterile technique

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR
Experience with Philips telemetry
Strong understanding of sterile field maintenance
Knowledge of neonatal conditions including prematurity, cardiac defects, and genetic disorders
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
