Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedule varies (managed by manager), every other weekend and holidays required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients with conditions like CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, collaborating with monitor techs
Administer medications and manage patient care with a 6:1 patient ratio
Work collaboratively with PCTs, charge nurses, and house supervisors
Float to all med/surg units as needed to support team coverage

Qualifications

Current RN license in Texas (or compact state)
Great communication and time management skills
Ability to read telemetry strips
Experience in med/surg telemetry preferred
Comfortable with CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen patients

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry strip reading and interpretation
Time management and prioritization
Effective communication with interdisciplinary team
Patient assessment and care for common med/surg diagnoses
Familiarity with virtual integrated care (VIC) model
