Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and more
• Titrate and manage cardiac drips such as dopamine, dobutamine, cardizem, amio, heparin, and insulin drips
• Float seamlessly across multiple PCU/IMC units within Zone 1, adapting quickly to different specialties and facility cultures
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Monitor telemetry and respond to changes in patient condition with confidence
• Document care accurately in Epic electronic health records

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/IMC experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Comfortable titrating and managing cardiac drips, insulin, ativan, and heparin
• Prior neuro and Epic experience preferred
• Willingness to float within a 60-mile zone and adapt to different facilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills
• Expertise in managing medical and surgical PCU patients
• Ability to work independently and as part of a flexible float team
• Excellent communication and adaptability in fast-paced environments
• Proficiency with Epic EMR system
