Medical Laboratory Technician - Generalist

Location: Dodge City, Kansas

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 3 shifts per week (36 hours), includes weekends and holidays as required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform routine and complex laboratory tests in a fast-paced generalist role
Operate and maintain lab equipment, including EPIC Beaker system
Conduct phlebotomy on rare occasions when needed
Ensure accuracy and quality of test results through rigorous quality control
Collaborate with healthcare team to support patient care

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Generalist in a clinical lab setting
MLT or MLS certification required (ASCP or equivalent)
Experience with EPIC Beaker LIS system highly preferred
BLS certification preferred (due to patient contact during phlebotomy)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety protocols
Proficient in phlebotomy techniques
Skilled in using EPIC Beaker and other LIS systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a night shift setting
