Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-14-2026

End Date: 09-13-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with occasional late shift 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM; weekend rotation every third weekend

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate physical therapy services to acute inpatients, helping them regain mobility and independence
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans
Manage a caseload of approximately 12 patients per day across Med/Surg, ICU, and ER
Document patient progress and adjust interventions as needed to optimize outcomes
Contribute to a supportive and dynamic hospital environment focused on patient-centered care

Qualifications

Valid California Physical Therapy license
Current BLS certification
Prior experience in acute inpatient physical therapy

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge of medical conditions such as TKA, THA, CVA, and general orthopedics
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced hospital units including ICU and ER
