Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, including weekends and holidays as scheduled

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and care for adult patients with medical-surgical, cardiac, and stroke conditions in a 28-bed PCU
Titrate drips including heparin, octreotide, and insulin to maintain patient stability
Interpret telemetry readings and respond to changes in patient status
Collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs to deliver seamless care
Handle high patient flow with frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state (NLC) — we accept compact licenses!
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
At least one year of recent PCU or telemetry experience
Ability to read and interpret telemetry independently
Valid driver's license — we need to verify your address for the radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring
Experience titrating intravenous drips like heparin and insulin
Strong teamwork and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced unit
Familiarity with electronic health records and medication administration
Positive attitude and adaptability to change
