Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to neuro telemetry patients, including post-surgical craniotomies, spine surgeries, and CVA patients
Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret EKGs to detect dysrhythmias
Maintain sterile field during procedures and ensure infection control
Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, and clinical supervisors to deliver optimal patient outcomes
Administer medications and treatments as ordered, and document patient responses
Educate patients and families on neuro conditions and recovery plans

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in neuro or telemetry nursing (within the past 6 months)
Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam via RELIAS within 48 hours of offer (max 2 attempts)
COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious declination
Strong sterile technique skills and ability to pass a sterile field exam on orientation day 1

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in neuro assessment and telemetry monitoring
EKG and dysrhythmia interpretation
Sterile technique and infection prevention
Ability to work in a fast-paced, 28-bed unit with 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratios
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
