Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating between 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, self-scheduling available

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide skilled nursing care to oncology and medical-surgical patients in a dynamic 28-bed PCU unit
Monitor and manage hemodynamic status, including titration of drips like insulin and cardizem
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to other PCU and med/surg units as needed, maintaining high standards of care
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
ONS/ONCC certification and chemotherapy certification required
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU and oncology nursing experience
EPIC experience preferred but not required
Driver's license required to verify radius rule compliance

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in PCU and oncology nursing, including chemotherapy administration
Experience with hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz) and ventilator management
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to titrate common IV drips (heparin, cardizem, protonix)
Familiarity with EPIC EHR and Alaris IV pumps
