Location: Centennial, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to a diverse PCU/IMC patient population including cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and more
Titrate and manage cardiac drips, insulin, ativan, and heparin with confidence
Float across multiple facilities within Zone 1 (Colorado Springs area) to support staffing needs
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Adapt quickly to different units and patient acuities, from step-down to medical-surgical telemetry
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with patients and families

Qualifications

At least 2 years of recent PCU/IMC experience required
Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
Must be comfortable floating within a 60-mile radius across multiple facilities
Prior neuro experience and Epic proficiency preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Expertise in cardiac drip management, insulin administration, and ativan administration
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for a fast-paced float pool environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team across various units
