Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, rotating days (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM) and nights (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), every other weekend and every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced progressive care unit
Monitor and manage cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes patients, including continuous EEG monitoring
Titrate IV drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications as ordered
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure positive patient outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support patient care
Attend orientation and pass an open-book skills exam with 90% or higher

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
At least one year of PCU experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Willingness to comply with facility policies, including artificial nail restrictions
Driver's license required for verification of residency outside 50 miles

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to titrate multiple cardiac and neurological drips
Experience with telemetry and continuous monitoring
Positive attitude and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
