Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert care to neuro patients including post-surgical, post-cranis, spine, and CVA post-TPA cases
• Interpret EKGs and monitor centralized telemetry for arrhythmias
• Maintain sterile field during procedures and pass orientation exam on sterile technique
• Collaborate with charge nurse, clinical supervisor, and multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications and interventions per plan of care while maintaining patient safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience (within past 6 months) in Neuro or Telemetry
• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam via RELIAS within 48 hours of offer (2 attempts max)
• COVID vaccine required (or approved religious/medical declination)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition skills
• Proficiency in sterile technique and maintaining sterile field
• Knowledge of neuro patient care, including post-surgical and stroke management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced 28-bed unit with 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
