Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights, with every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to oncology and trauma patients in a mixed PCU/MedSurg unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for adverse reactions
Titrate intravenous drips including heparin and cardizem as ordered
Float to other PCU and MedSurg units within the facility as needed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Ensure hourly rounding and maintain high patient satisfaction scores

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of PCU/MedSurg nursing experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Must achieve a 90% or higher on the pass/fail orientation exam
Valid driver's license required to verify 50-mile radius rule

Knowledge & Skills

Strong oncology and PCU nursing skills with a focus on patient-centered care
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records
Ability to titrate common drips such as insulin, cardizem, and heparin
Chemotherapy administration knowledge and competency
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Adaptability to diverse patient populations and cultural backgrounds
