Location: Bismarck, ND

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights), 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a telemetry/cardiac unit
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, titrate drips (Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, and more)
Manage patients with diverse conditions including cardiac caths, EP studies, pneumonia, COVID, sepsis, and more
Collaborate with charge nurse and techs to maintain a patient ratio of 1:4-5 (days) or occasional 1:5-6 (nights)
Float as needed to PCU, MS, or assist with ER holds as a helping hand
Document accurately using Epic (preferred) and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

Active RN license (compact license preferred for travelers!)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum PCU experience and ability to read strips independently
Telemetry/cardiac nursing experience a must
Epic experience preferred but not required – we welcome first-time travelers

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and strip reading
Proficiency in IV drip titration (Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, etc.)
Ability to manage telemetry monitoring and high-acuity patients
Comfortable with Bipap, trachs, and Airvo equipment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
