Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 08-31-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with every 3rd weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Perform complex assessments and monitor telemetry
Maintain sterile field during central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertions
Collaborate with neonatologists, midlevels, and respiratory therapists
Educate and support families during their infant's stay
Float to mother-baby and labor care as needed (babies only)

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of Level 4 NICU experience
Current BLS and NRP certifications
Cardiac STABLE plus certification preferred
Previous travel experience preferred
Competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes with sterile technique

Knowledge & Skills

NICU nursing skills including care of premature, cardiac, genetic, surgical, ECMO, and cooling patients
EMR proficiency, specifically Cerner
Telemetry monitoring with Phillips system
Understanding of sterile field and infection control
