Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to oncology and trauma patients in a 28-bed mixed PCU/MedSurg unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for side effects
Titrate drips including heparin and cardizem as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Float to other PCU and MedSurg units as needed to support team
Ensure hourly rounding and excellent patient experience

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU and oncology experience
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
EPIC experience preferred but not required
Willingness to take a pass/fail exam during orientation (open book, 90% to pass)

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, arterial line, Swan-Ganz)
Proficient in chemotherapy administration and safe handling
Comfortable with Alaris IV pumps and EPIC EMR
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to fast-paced mixed acuity unit
