Location: Bakersfield, CA

Start Date: 06-14-2026

End Date: 09-13-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM), every third weekend required

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments across acute inpatient units, including Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER
Manage a diverse caseload of post-surgical (TKA, THA, spinal), orthopedic, and neurological patients (CVA, deconditioned)
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning
Document patient progress accurately and adjust treatment plans as needed
Participate in department-specific orientation and hospital-wide training

Qualifications

Current California Physical Therapist license in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Minimum 1 year of acute inpatient physical therapy experience required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills for a variety of diagnoses
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in electronic medical records and documentation
Time management and prioritization in a high-acuity setting
