Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend required, schedule determined by manager

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
Monitor telemetry strips and interpret cardiac rhythms accurately
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators
Float to all med/surg units as needed to support staffing
Administer medications, manage drips (non-titratable), and perform patient assessments
Educate patients and families on condition management and discharge planning

Qualifications

Current RN license in Texas (compact state accepted)
BLS certification required
Excellent communication and time management skills
Ability to read telemetry strips
Preferred: experience in med/surg telemetry

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Patient assessment and critical thinking
Medication administration and management
Team collaboration and effective communication
Adaptability to float across units
