Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, block scheduling, every other weekend, 1 summer and 1 winter holiday, standby required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized care to Level 2 NICU infants including respiratory support with Bubble CPAP and Hiflow
Attend deliveries and provide immediate newborn care as the baby nurse
Manage IV therapy, including start and maintenance, and assist with umbilical line placement
Monitor and care for infants with phototherapy, hypoglycemia, neonatal withdrawal, and suspected sepsis
Collaborate with neonatologists and respiratory therapists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Flex between NICU and postpartum care as census requires, caring for mother-baby couplets

Qualifications

Active RN license in Washington state
Current BLS and NRP certifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in Level 2 NICU and postpartum nursing
Proven skills in attending deliveries, IV therapy, and respiratory support
Experience with Bubble CPAP, Hiflow, and umbilical line placement assist and maintenance

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of neonatal resuscitation and emergency procedures
Ability to titrate drips including D5W and TPN
Understanding of LDRP model and flexibility to float between units
Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
